My humble review of FeedForAll - RSS Feed Creation Tool
New Tools prove that RSS is here to stay!
Along with the explosion in the number of RSS feeds, comes a new breed of tools that aim to help us gain efficiencies in the creation and promotion of RSS. One such tool comes from NotePage, Inc. called FeedForAll. I had the opportunity to evaluate and use this tool and have since become its newest customer. FeedForAll simplifies the process of creating, editing and publishing RSS feeds from your desktop. This is not a tool that will be widely adopted by advanced RSS programmers since it is very basic and does not offer anything new to those who already create and publish RSS feeds. However for those either new to RSS or to those who want to simplify and speed up the entire process (like me) this tool is hard to beat. I will not bore you with a 'how to use the tool' review...this is well documented within the help menu. Besides, for the most part it is fill in the blanks, and presto, you have your RSS feed ready to go. I would think that as this tool matures, it will add additional intuitive help for some of the less-than-obvious set up features. My favourite peeve is the 'item-enclosure-type help tip....I still have no idea what 'MIME' type is supposed to do for a podcast' So it did require that I bone up on some RSS knowledge outside of this tool. FeedForAll is available for PC and Mac and is priced right starting at $39.95 for a single copy. This software is available for download and purchase at their website www.feedforall.com .
